3D Printed Retro Jewelry: A Miniature C64 Computer

Retro computers hold a special place in the hearts of many enthusiasts, and what better way to celebrate their legacy than by turning them into stylish accessories? In this post, I’ll share my latest 3D-printed jewelry project: a miniature version of the legendary Commodore 64 (C64) computer.

Design and 3D Printing Process

This tiny C64-inspired piece was designed from scratch using Fusion 360, ensuring that all the details were as accurate as possible while keeping the design compact and wearable. The model was printed in four separate parts to achieve an authentic color scheme:

  • Beige body – The main structure of the C64, capturing its classic look.

  • Dark gray large keyboard – The signature keyboard layout, maintaining the contrast of the original.

  • Lighter gray small keyboard – Additional keyboard details for better accuracy.

  • Black port section – A distinct part featuring the input/output connectors.

Each part was carefully printed and assembled to create a realistic representation of the classic computer.

Adding the Final Touches

To bring the miniature C64 to life, I added a few final details:

  • A custom sticker was applied to enhance the keyboard's appearance.

  • The power LED was hand-drawn using a red marker, mimicking the original indicator light.

Versatile Jewelry Options

This 3D-printed mini C64 is not just a static model—it can be turned into various types of jewelry and accessories:

  • Earrings – A pair of tiny C64s hanging stylishly.

  • Necklace – A unique pendant for retro computing fans.

  • Fridge magnet – A fun way to decorate your fridge with a nostalgic twist.

Conclusion

This project combines nostalgia, creativity, and 3D printing to produce a unique and customizable piece of jewelry. Whether you’re a retro computing enthusiast or just love unique accessories, this miniature C64 is a perfect way to showcase your passion.
