3D-Printed Dollhouse Furniture and Accessories – Part 1
I started
my 3D printing and design journey 11 years ago by creating miniature objects
for a dollhouse. It felt like an easy way to practice and improve my skills
while constantly coming up with new ideas for printable items. In this blog
series, I will showcase some of the first objects I designed and printed for a
dollhouse.
Turntable
A
vintage-style turntable brings a touch of nostalgia to any miniature home. I
designed it with a detailed platter, arm, and buttons, making it look as
realistic as possible despite its small size.
Grill
A tiny barbecue grill is a must-have for any dollhouse backyard. This design includes a lid and grill grates.
Pool
Table
A classic pool table is a fun addition to a dollhouse recreation room. Miniature cue sticks are made of toothpicks and balls can be made from pearls to complete the set, making it a detailed and interactive piece. The top green is not printed, but fabric colored.
Vacuum
Cleaner
A dollhouse needs cleaning, too! This tiny vacuum cleaner has a handle, wheels, and even a hose attachment, adding realism to the miniature household. Hose is not 3d printed but made of rubber hose.
Bathtub
Every dollhouse bathroom needs a stylish bathtub. I designed mine with a curved shape, making it look like a classic freestanding tub perfect for relaxation.
Refrigerator
A miniature
refrigerator adds authenticity to any tiny kitchen. I designed it with shelves
and a separate freezer compartment for a realistic touch.
Coffee
Maker
No kitchen
is complete without a coffee maker. This small appliance design includes
buttons, a carafe, and even a water reservoir.
Cradle
A dollhouse nursery wouldn’t be complete without a cradle. I created a delicate rocking cradle design to add charm to the baby’s room.
Cat
Litter Box
Even dollhouse pets need their essentials! This tiny cat litter box is a fun and quirky addition to a miniature home.
Rotary
Phone
A classic rotary phone brings vintage charm to any dollhouse. I designed it with a dial, handset, and cord for a nostalgic look. cord is not 3D printed, and dial is paper.
Baby
Stroller
A tiny baby stroller adds detail to a dollhouse family scene. The design includes wheels and a handle for a realistic feel. 3D printed parts are covered with fabric.
Toaster
A small toaster completes the breakfast nook. I designed it with slots for tiny bread slices and a lever for added realism.
These are
just a few of the 3D-printed items I created for dollhouses. There are so many
more that I’ve decided to split them into three blog posts. Stay tuned for the
next part, where I will showcase more miniature household items!
